And the wine spoke and tells us what Riesling was like here in the past: oily, full-bodied, multi-faceted, but not harsh, elegant floral aroma, a little green spice, minerality in taste and salty caramel in aroma. A year later an ice storm in July left no leaves on the plantation, and we were not sure it would survive, but with the exception of one or two extreme vintages, we have been able to bottle vineyard-selected Italian Riesling from Száka every year.

The new vintage is exactly what we love and look for in Száka. An elegant, mineral, characterful Italian Riesling. We aged it in old, thousand-liter ászok barrels and then bottled it. We hope that this year's vintage will also please you!
