There is nothing better than getting into the minibus on Friday morning, heading to another wine region and visiting colleagues. We did the same on the first Friday of March and headed for Badacsony. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to visit everyone, but we did get to three wineries.
First, Tomi Borbély and his family hosted us, where we tasted unforgettable Karós Olaszling, I took bottle 319 with me as a souvenir. It's almost unbelievable that there are still foot cultivation areas, I wish there were more of them.
We arrived at Bence Laposa at 11 o'clock, where we first tasted excellent tank champagnes, but we also didn't miss the hidden gems of the barrel cellar - unfortunately we weren't able to buy from Juhfark yet, but my Dad's world had already traveled on with us. Thank you for the excellent lunch at Hableány!
In the afternoon, our journey led us to Gilvesy Robert, where it was a great pleasure to see the beautifully restored old buildings on the hill and the fact that wines are being made again in the centuries-old cellar.
